Take Notice of The Daffodil

“Come treasure seeker, if you will,
Take notice of the daffodil,
This dainty thing, that trumpets Spring,
Amidst the winter’s browns and grays
It rises up, takes center stage
And gently tossed by warmer winds,
It waves and sings, “Begin again!”.

One moment with this bloom today,
Here while kneeling in its gaze,
I sense a disposition change;
Lighter, brighter, cued with hope
To face with faith what’s still unknown
My heart expands, my spirit tilled
Revived, renewed, refreshed and filled
Come treasure seeker, if you will,
Take notice of the daffodil.” DDC 2016
