These days,

because of social distancing, there’s not much congregating going on, but since I’ve been learning how to hand-feed the chickadees that come to our feeder, if I’m in the yard, I always feel like I’m being followed. This photo was taken on Sunday when several chickadees congregated in the tree tops, assumably ‘keeping watch’. Grateful for their reminder that there is One far greater keeping watch over me and my loved ones in these keeping-the-faith kind of times.

Hosanna

I’m guessing, but it’s now likely 50 years ago, when several very patient women at my hometown’s Episcopal parish taught me and my childhood church friends how to fold palm fronds into crosses. It’s been an annual tradition for me ever since then. There will be no palm fronds to fold into crosses tomorrow but after spending some time with our garden’s daffolils and their long slender greenery, this tender offering will be a lovely substitute as I practice #keepingthefaith in challenging days like these. #HOSANNA
