today is a good day to celebrate a tulip awakening…April Fool’s Day, who needs it anyways?

of their fall foliage and the garden is ready for a long sleep, but these blooms, gifted to me by a sweet young friend, are still coloring my world…

but REALLY close!

What happens when after baking a rhubarb cake, you test it and find it kind of ‘meh’? You scour your pantry for ideas et voila, you find a jar of ‘magic’ to use as a topping! Thank you, April! You may live 4 hours away, but you came to my rescue once again!

Though MOST of these delicious blackberries made it to our kitchen, I enjoyed just a FEW on our trip home from Crosswinds, as the evidence on my fingers would attest to. The Mr. was driving…he had to wait!

Look what just arrived at my house! WOOHOO!!! Build a few somethin’-somethins’ on my sewing machine for a new/old Arizona friend, and the rewards, which have been thus far already plentiful, just keep on coming!
